At Crafty Shutterbug we blend the photography skills learned over 40 years with the latest digital technology to create our photos. We utilize the latest methods in digital photography, including HDR (High Dynamic Range), Photoshop, and Fotosketcher, to name a few. This, combined with a love for photography, started as high school yearbook photographers and a make-shift darkroom.

The desire to create artwork, but little in the way of painting or drawing skills, digital photography has become our creative outlet and lifelong endeavor. Our passion is catching candid moments in the world around us. The Hudson Valley is our favorite playground with so many fun and interesting subjects from which to choose. We enjoy experimenting and even breaking a few rule photography rules, such as shooting in low light without flash and shooting towards the sun, all while trying out new and different techniques to capture these moments with different effects. Our cameras are always at the ready to catch “the moment.” In April of 2012 the Tamarack Lodge in Greenfield Park was destroyed by a blazing fire. With cameras in hand, some of the most explosive moments of that fire were captured. They can be viewed on our FaceBook Page. Our Logo, depicting a ladybug sitting in a camera lens, with circuit board patterns on her wings, signifies our style of blending photography with technology.
